I love Menchie's!! The yogurt flavors are so diverse and scrumptious! They offer a variety of ever-changing flavors. If you aren't a dairy fan they also always have 2 amazing sorbet flavors to satiate your appetite! I'm here at least once a week and that's not changing any time soon!

There are lots of frozen yogurt places abound, and it takes something special to make your place stand apart. I'd say that Menchies does a surprisingly great job of that. Their mascot and decor is all "adorable" themed, so there's cute smiling mascots and items everywhere you look. This particular location is also nicely decorated and extremely roomy and easy to move around. It's also very, very clean. The single employee, who was extremely nice - even about my difficult nutritional questions - was doing rounds cleaning things while we were there. Everything looked spotless. A tray of sample cups is laid out in case you need to try something. Unlike usual, I actually did try a sample of their Iced Coffee froyo. FYI, it definitely tastes exactly like iced coffee. I was impressed. Flavors were okay. I wasn't in love with them, but I didn't hate them either. I DID particularly fall in love with how each particular flavor has all of the nutritionals laid out directly on the sign. It tells you if it's low-fat, no-fat, sugar-free, low-sugar, kosher, includes HFCS, contains milk, contains soy, contains wheat, or more. It ALSO gives you the calorie information for 4 ounces right on the sign. Be aware when making comparisons to most other frozen yogurt places: IF you can find the nutritionals at most other places (hard to do!), they're usually per ounce, and no one eats just an ounce. I mean, really. Since I really like to watch what I eat, having this nutritional information right there, at a glance, without getting in the way of the full signage was absolutely amazing. Toppings were great. Regular large selection. Everything was immaculately cleaned. I had some sprinkles (tasty) and Blueberries (fresh and yummy!) They also had sugar-free and fat-free fudge which, my god, was absolutely delicious. Seating is pretty basic. I'd love to see more types of seating if they upgrade in the future. There are just a bunch of tables with four white chairs around them. There are some tables outside as well, but I'd love to see bar stools, couches, and whatnot if they ever decide to remodel. It makes it easy to sit with a large group of friends, though, as the tables would be simple to move if need be. Menchies also sells tons of merchandise with their mascots. You can purchase stuffed animals, jackets, lip balm, hats, shirts, and more. They also have some of their frozen yogurt packaged up into tubs that can be purchased for at-home treats. After the transaction, the cashier handed me some coupons which includes $1 off and more that will work for next month. It's definitely an incentive to come back considering their prices are similar to most frozen yogurt places. The only particular downside was that the Skittles toppings weren't quite fresh. They were, for lack of a better descriptor, pretty much as hard as a rock and impossible to eat. Each one in our yogurt had to be pulled out and tossed. Aside from that, though, which may have been a fluke accident, definitely an amazing place I'll go out of my way to revisit. I love that they've placed a focus on a comfortable interior plus nutritional information.

Well I have never been to Menchie's until this weekend. But I heard they had vegan options, so when Ashley wanted to go I said let's do it! When we walked in, I heard Menchie's radio playing (they have there own station and it was playing) TURN TO STONE by ELO! Which I got stoked about and thought it might be a reference to ICE CREAM CONES... Get it.. "TURN THE CONE, WHEN THE ICE CREAM's Gone, I turn the Cone" - Just change the words but keep the melody of the original song. Makes the Menchie's experience top notch! I got the Vegan Pineapple gelato and it was great, I got to pour my own cup and I stayed away from the toppings but they have a ton, both healthy and unhealthy! I dug the little patio on Ingersol and the staff was smily and nice and the bathrooms were clean! All in all this place gives you the Gold Record Treatment! Now back to ELO.. youtube.com/watch?v=xFlj…

Frozen yogurt at Menchie's is as good as always, but I was kind of bummed they didn't have more fresh fruit options! They only had strawberries and blueberries. :( What I do enjoy about Menchies is they provide small sample cups for you to try flavors before you purchase. They also have nutritional information for the frozen yogurt. They also have gummies, candy bars, cereals, syrups like hot fudge, caramel, etc for toppings, but I do wish they would increase their fresh fruit options!

After a crap-tastic dinner at Noodles & Company I decided to try dessert at nearby Menchie's. I've never heard of Menchies, but it's apparently a chain? The bright colors are shocking - like a herd of unicorns drank too much glo-liquor and then vomited all over the place. I really enjoyed the many many many froyo flavors to choose from. I've never seen that many. I made a concoction of three different types (let them fight it out in my stomach) I then topped it with a variety of chocolate candies, coconut and hot melty syrups. I got a spoon with one of their trippy characters on it. THIS PLACE RULES.

I love frozen yogurt so I am biased when it comes to Menchi's. However, their yogurts do taste fresh and don't have the pasty and powdery taste that I've experienced at Orange Leaf. The fruit selection is always great too!

We came here because we saw an episode of Undercover Boss and found out a Menchie's was in Des Moines! So we made a point to visit this location and check things out. There were a lot of frozen yogurt flavors here such as strawberry (sugar free), vanilla, apple pie, heath bar, dulce de leche, tangerine, dole's pineapple, and chocolate brownie. I mixed three flavors together and topped everything off with crushed oreos, reeses pieces, and heath bar. They even had toppings of fresh fruit, mochi, and syrups like caramel and chocolate. I also got the mochi as a topping and it was soft and fresh. It was all very delicious. The place was nice and bright, very clean (the lady working there was constantly making sure the counters were clean) and had a lot of inside and outside seating. There was a private parking lot as well so it was easy to get here. The cost was by weight so for two people it was about $9. There were a lot of great flavors we were not able to try. I guess we'll have to make a return visit soon!

Went here Sunday night and was glad to see it bustling. As you know i am embarking on rating all the fro yo joints in town. Last one was Orange leaf now up is Menchies. The first thing I notice is that there is no sample Nazi here like at Orange leaf. We were greeted by nice workers who genuinely seemed like they enjoyed what they were doing. There was a tray of "small" sample cups laid out and we were encouraged to help ourselves (although there was a nice sign saying please limit to 2). I must say I really like that they have the ingredients list and the caloric content next to each flavor. They also had two non dairy options for those that are lactose/dairy intolerant. Loved the flavors, the Dulce de leche really tasted like the real thing. They had a weird popcorn flavor that tasted like frozen butter....which I will avoid.. The toppings bar was on par with Orange leaf's if not a little better. Love how they have the syrups in the pump dispenser instead of the squeeze bottles, just seems more professional. Would probably rate Menchie's a 3.5, not a 4... I will need to revisit to see if they deserve a four...yum

I really like this place. I would pick Menchie's over the other self-serve froyo places in town because no one can beat Menchie's toppings bar. The frozen yogurt tastes amazing, with a nice variety of flavors that are ever-changing. My favorite part of Menchie's: the employees. Other places (ie, OrangeLeaf) has hired teenagers who could give a **** about the customers. There are actual grown-ups at Menchie's and they are extremely courteous and customer-service oriented. I'll continue to stop by once every weekend with family and friends.
